NZPN Membership

Please read these notes:

Members will be officially added at the AGM following their request and approval to join NZPN.

“Patient” means a person with Pompe Disease.

There is 1 vote per household unless there is more than 1 household member on the NZPN Board.  In that case there is 1 vote per Board member.

​We do not charge a membership fee at this time.

1. Full Member

Eligibility:

  • A Full Member is a person aged sixteen years or older; and
  • is living with a Condition; or
  • is a Carer of a person living with a Condition; or
  • is the Parent or Guardian of a person living with a condition; and
  • has applied for membership; and has been accepted by the Board
  • can be eligible for travel/accommodation stipends for meetings if offered

Benefits:

  1. 1 vote (per household) at NZPN meetings
  2. The right to be notified of any meetings and receive official communications
  3. Email newsletter

Please Note:
As a Full Member, you may be called upon from time to time to help with various activities of the NZPN.  This may include fund raising projects, campaigning and contributing to the NZPN newsletter.

2. General Member

Eligibility: 

  • A General Member is a person aged sixteen years or older; and
  • has applied for membership; and
  • has been accepted by the Board
  • there is no fee for this membership type

  1. The right to be notified of any meetings and receive official communications
  2. Email newsletter

Please Note:
As a General Member you are welcome and encouraged to be involved in the various activities of the NZPN.  We always appreciate constructive input and support to achieve our various goals.

3. Email Only

If you want to receive the quarterly newsletter only, you do not have to become an official member of NZPN.

​4. Life Member

A ​Life Member is a person honoured for meritorious services to the Association after recommendation by the Board and election as a Life Member by resolution of a general meeting.

A Life Member shall have all the rights and privileges of a General Member, including voting rights and shall be subject to all the duties of a General Member except those of paying subscriptions or levies.
